London venues for my public speaking courses
1. The weekend venue for the 2 day public speaking course
Regents University, Inner Circle, London NW1 4NS
Baker Street station is the nearest Tube stop.
Regents University have a car park on site available with 70 spaces. The charge is £15.00 per day at the weekend. They are not able to reserve spaces as the car park operates on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. There is often a lot of courses run at the weekends so please don't bank on getting a space.
To plan your journey the Transport for London website is very helpful.
There is a refectory within the campus where hot meals, salads and sandwiches can be purchased. During the course we often eat here and although it's not top notch food it's good for what it is. On hot weekends you can bring something to eat in the park if you'd like to.
From Baker Street station
Take the Marylebone Road exit. Walk past Madame Tussauds and take the first road on your left, York Gate. Follow the road into Regent’s Park and over the bridge; you will see the main entrance to the University on your left-hand side. This walk will take approximately 10 minutes.
From Kings Cross
Take the 5 minute tube journey from Kings Cross to Baker Street. You can take either the Metropolitan line, Hammersmith & City line or Circle line to Baker Street Underground Station.
Take the 3 minute tube journey from Euston to Kings Cross station.
Take either the Hammersmith & City line or Circle line to Baker Street Underground Station.
2. The week day venue for the 2 day public speaking course
October Gallery, 24 Old Gloucester St, London WC1N 3AL
Holborn, Russell Square and Chancery Lane
19, 25, 38, 55, 168 and 188
There is lunch served at the October Gallery but they have rather a short time for serving food so we don't always finish in time. However, there are lots of good cafes nearby so there'll be time to visit one of those. Alternatively please feel free to bring a packed lunch along.
Further details can be found at the October Gallery website.
